The schedule adapts as the week progresses. By day three, campers are applying what they've learned in real competitive scenarios. By the end of the week, every athlete, beginner or intermediate, will have measurably improved their skills, confidence, and understanding of the sport.
What Your Child Will Learn
Proper fencing stance, movement, and blade technique in épée. How to read an opponent and think tactically under pressure. Bout strategy, scoring, and competition etiquette. The centuries-old traditions of fencing, the salute, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. Focus, self-discipline, and composure are skills that transfer directly to the classroom and beyond
Our coaching approach is rooted in the belief that great fencers are built on great fundamentals, and that the most important development happens between the ears. Every session is structured to challenge your child physically and mentally in a supportive environment.
Nutrition: Fueling Young Athletes
We take nutrition seriously. A young athlete's performance, focus, and recovery depend on what they eat, especially during intense training days.
Every camper receives a freshly prepared, chef-made lunch and snacks daily. Meals are designed with student athletes in mind:
Balanced portions of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, and fresh vegetables. Whole-food snacks for sustained energy between sessions, fresh fruit, nuts, and hydration. No processed foods, no sugary drinks, no vending machines. Meals are prepared on-site each day to ensure freshness and quality
If your child has food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know at registration and we will accommodate them.
Safety & Supervision
Your child's safety is our highest priority, before, during, and after every session.
All coaching and activities are led by FIE-certified coaches and teach in a Safe Sport Certified environment. Our staff maintains appropriate coach-to-student ratios throughout the day. First aid supplies are on-site, and coaches are trained in emergency response protocols.
Fencing itself is one of the safest sports available, statistically safer than soccer, basketball, and swimming. All weapons are blunted, and campers wear full protective gear, including masks, jackets, and gloves, during every drill and bout.
Parents are welcome to observe any session at any time. We maintain an open-door policy because transparency builds trust.
